Five Things: PGA Superstore is Hiring, No More Furlough Fridays

Here are five things to know in Palm Desert on Friday, July 26:

1.  Looking for a job?  The PGA Tour Superstore in Palm Desert is looking to fill full, part-time and seasonal positions and is hosting a job fair which continues Friday and Saturday.  Details were posted on their Facebook page, which you can view here.

2.  This wasn't your average DUI arrest.  A La Quinta woman, who is now free on bail, is accused of drunk driving, slamming into two cars and then hitting and spitting on a sheriff's deputy.

3.  Have you ever wanted to know a little more about the history of the world-famous Betty Ford Center?  Though this facility is located right in our backyard, there's a lot that's not known about it.  The Center announced Thursday that the CEO is leaving, and plans to write a book about it.

4.  Furlough Fridays are finally over for the County of Riverside public offices.  Beginning this Friday, all affected services are resuming their old, Monday through Friday schedule.

5.  Want to buy a Palm Desert business?  Someone posted on our boards that they are selling a weight loss center on Highway 111 and El Paseo.
