Donate Prom Dresses, Accessories to Help Others Attend Special Dance
"This is our fifth year of giving away prom dresses and we have a goal of helping 130 girls," said Prom Dress Program coordinator, Aleks Braconi.
PALM DESERT (Calif.) MARCH 16, 2014 –
Desert Best Friend’s Closet (DBFC) is collecting prom and formal dresses and accessories (shoes, evening bags, wraps and “bling”) to outfit local high school girls for upcoming high school prom events.
"DBFC wants to honor senior girls who have elected to stay in high school to earn their diplomas by providing them with a prom dress and possible accessories for this annual American rite of passage. We seek donations to support this endeavor," said Prom Dress Program coordinator, Aleks Braconi. "This is our fifth year of giving away prom dresses and we have a goal of helping 130 girls. We will be at five different locations, on five different dates to make it easier for the girls."
Donations of formal dresses may be dropped off at convenient locations throughout the Coachella Valley by March 25:
