Military Educational Benefits Offered

In its outreach to veterans, active duty, and family members of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces, San Diego State University’s College of Extended Studies is offering more than 20 certificate programs year-round that are approved for veterans’ education and military spouse benefits.

Classes are available either online or on-site at SDSU. The online classes are offered anytime, anyplace throughout the world on a 24/7 basis wherever computer access is available. Most SDSU College of Extended Studies on-site classes are held in the evenings, to better accommodate work and family schedules.

The Military Spouse Career Advancement Account (MyCAA) assists military spouses in obtaining training and education in a high-demand, portable career by providing up to $4,000 for educational benefits. SDSU offers certificate programs in the following approved fields: construction occupations, educational services, financial services, health care, hospitality, human resources, meeting and event planning, and the technology industry.
