Beers and Badgers and Zebras, Oh My!

The Living Desert previews their annual "Brew at the Zoo" fundraiser, set for next month

The Living Desert will be “Saving Wildlife One Beer at a Time” at their 3rd annual Brew at the Zoo event.  

The event, a fundraiser for The Living Desert, is already recognized as one of the most popular beer festivals in Southern California.  It’s scheduled for Saturday, May 5 from 6:30p.m. to 9:30 p.m.  

“This is one of the most relaxed and fun events we have,” according to Stacey Johnson, President and CEO of The Living Desert. “This year, it’s being held on cinco de Mayo, whish is already synonymous with a good time.”

The 2012 Brew at the Zoo will feature live music on three stages, 40 vendors, beer and wine pairings with appetizers and desserts. Vegetarian options will also be available.

Blues music features prominently this year, with appearances from the Barry Baughn Blues Band, Kimo and Band specializing in Hawaiian funk blues, and the Motown-inspired blues sounds of Harold Wheery and Blue Breeze Band.
