Cook Street Improvements To Continue

Final round of improvements slated for two intersections on Cook Street for early February.

Work will continue on the final phase of drainage and intersection improvements on Cook Street.  On Wednesday, February 1, workers will begin installing traffic signal loops at the intersection of Cook Street and Hovley Lane East.   

This work will take place in double shifts from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the day;  and then from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on the evenings of February 1 and 2.  

Signal loops will be installed at Cook Street and Country Club Drive during the day on Monday, February 6, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and in in the evenings from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. on February 6, 7 and 8.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes such as Fred Waring Drive and Portola Avenue. 

Following this final phase of construction, only minor and intermittent lane closes will take place for landscaping, clean up and other minor work.

The project will is expected to be fully completed in February. 

To summarize: 

Cook and Hovley:  February 1, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.; February 2, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 a.m.  

Cook and Country Club: February 6, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.; February 7 and 8, 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
