Earthquake Sweeps Region, Gov. Brown Visits, Walmart Neighborhood Market

News from around Riverside County.

A magnitude-4.4 earthquake was felt throughout Southern California today. According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the temblor’s epicenter was in San Bernardino County, 3 miles north-northwest of Fontana and 4 miles west-northwest of Rialto.

"It felt like somebody ran into our building," said Sgt. Chris Hice of the Rialto Police Department.

No damage was reported along the northwestern corner of Riverside County, the area of the county closest to the epicenter, authorities said.
