Easter Sunrise Service Set For The Tram

The service is set for 5:30 a.m., Sunday, April 8, according to Lenna Zimmerschied, a spokeswoman for the tram.

A sunrise service will be held at the top of the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway's Mountain Station on Easter morning.

Pastor Sneed is expected to give a sermon entitled “The Greatest Thing in the World” and “Voices of Song” a gospel group, both from the Rebirth Temple of Faith, will sing a melody of hymns.

The first car up will be at 5 a.m. The program begins at 5:30 a.m. Reduced Tram fares will be in effect until 7:30am. Round-trip fare will be $15 for adults and seniors and $12 for children ages 3-12.

Immediately following the program breakfast will be served in Pines Café, featuring a choice of scrambled eggs, French Toast and breakfast meats until 7:30 a.m.

The cost of the combination, including round-trip Tram fare will be $23.95 for adults and $16.95 for children ages 3-12. Breakfast will be served ala carte until 10 a.m.
