Hunt for Eggs in Palm Desert– Underwater

The Palm Desert Aquatics Center and Family YMCA of the Desert are again hosting an underwater Easter egg hunt.

Coachella Valley youth ages 3-10 are invited to a unique Easter egg hunt in Palm Desert, as eggs are hidden underwater for them to find.

The second annual underwater Easter egg hunt, sponsored by The Palm Desert Aquatics Center and Family YMCA of the Desert, will be held on March 31 at the aquatics center.

Don't worry, your chocolate won't get soggy, because the eggs won't actually be filled with anything.  Rather, participants hunt for the weighted eggs in the pool, and turn them in for goodie bags, organizers tell Patch.

The not-so-typical hunt begins at 2 p.m., and costs $3 to attend.  Children will be allowed to enter the pool at different times, based on age groups (see attached flier).  Those 3-5 years old must be accompanied by adults.

Be sure to also bring along a waterproof basket or egg holder.
