Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush will speak to a sellout crowd in Indian Wells Thursday.
The son of former President George H.W. Bush and younger brother of former President George W. Bush served two terms as Florida governor from 1999 to 2007 and appears to be mulling a 2016 White House bid.
He drew headlines for saying in his new book, "Immigration Wars," that he opposes granting illegal immigrants U.S. citizenship. During the 2012 presidential election, he said illegal immigrants should be given a shot at citizenship and legal residency.
Bush canceled appearances Wednesday in Washington, D.C., because of a major snowstorm, but plans to travel from Florida to the Coachella Valley for Thursday's 6 p.m. speech at the Renaissance Esmeralda Resort & Spa, according to Desert Town Hall's interim executive director, Becky Kurtz.
