Here's the announcement from Living Desert staff:
Officials at The Living Desert want residents and visitors to know the government shutdown has NOT affected the park, which is open for business as usual.
"We have been hearing concerns about whether or not The Living Desert is open because of the shutdown, perhaps because National Parks have been affected, but we are open as usual, and encourage the community to come out and enjoy all we offer here at the park," says Kerry Graves, Director of Park Services, The Living Desert.

The daily schedule includes Giraffe Feeding at 10:00 a.m., the Wildlife Wonders Show at 11:00 a.m., and Animal Presentations at noon and 3:00 p.m. Plus, all of the wildlife exhibits, gardens and special attractions are open.
