Aspiring green thumbs across the Coachella Valley are invited to learn more about community gardening and get answers to their gardening questions at the Palm Desert Community Gardens 'Open Garden Day' on Saturday, October 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
The free event will feature guest speaker John Foster, who will talk about organic raised bed gardening and other gardening topics, according to City of Palm Desert Spokesman David Hermann.
The Open Garden Day takes place at the San Nicholas Community Garden at the corner of San Nicholas and San Pablo Avenues. Refreshments will be provided.
