Local Author Empowers Girls With Book
"Miracles Love A Believer" is available for sale online.
Palm Desert author Stacy Casaluci turns the typical Disney princess story on its head in her new book “Miracles Love A Believer.”
The children's book, which is available for sale on Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble’s website, follows a princes named Cirina Marie (named after Casaluci’s daughter), who is a tomboy.
“She rescues herself. She finds ways to make herself happy,” Casaluci said.

In the book, a guardian angel comes to give Cirina Marie guidance (no prince comes to rescue this damsel distressed from boredom).
The guardian angel tells Cirina “anything you imagine can become more than a dream,” Casaluci said.

“She wishes for her favorite stuffed animal (Moondancer) to come to life,’’ she said.
Casaluci’s children are all grown now, but she has been writing for a long time.
“When I lived in LA I was a singer songwriter and we had a rock and roll band. I’ve kept writing,’’ the 51-year-old said, adding that she’s working on a sequel to the book.
Casaluci, who has lived in Palm Desert for several years, was recently cast in the Palm Desert Stage Co.'s "It's a Wonderful Life."
She's also been involved with productions at the Palm Canyon Theatre, and at the .
An electronic (e-book) version of "Miracles Love A Believer" will be available online soon, she said.
