Palm Desert 'Relay For Life' Gets Power

Local Relay For Life to get support from baseball team

Palm Springs Power Baseball Team will host a special “Cancer Awareness Night” in conjunction with the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Palm Desert on Saturday, July 7th at 7:05 p.m. during the game against the San Diego Force, at Palm Springs Stadium.

The first 500 people will receive a Cancer Awareness Koozie. Admission is only $5 if patrons bring a special flyer from the American Cancer Society's Palm Desert Office. The flyer is available by emailing Dorlaine Stanley, volunteer chair of the Relay For Life of Palm Desert, at Dmslaj@aol.com, or by calling at (760) 329-8468.

The event will also host a canned food drive, so patrons are asked to bring canned food to donate for others less fortunate. The Relay For Life of Palm Desert will be held on October 6th and 7th at Palm Desert High School.
