Restaurant Week gets 'Uncorked' Tonight

A sneak preview of Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week starts tonight with affordable special pairing dinners.

Today and Thursday, Palm Springs Desert Resorts Restaurant Week presents two days of preview “wining and dining” with its first-ever “Uncorked” event, offering specialty pairing dinners at 10 participating restaurants in Palm Springs, Rancho Mirage and Indian Wells.  

Ranging from $45-$85 for a multi-course meal with featured beverage pairings—such as tequila, vodka, wine, or beer—guests can enjoy a sneak peek of Restaurant Week’s dining options in the two days prior to the event. Participating “Uncorked” restaurants include:

Wednesday, May 30

· Copley’s on Palm Canyon: Wines and family-style cuisine from Spain ($85)

· Escena Lounge & Grill: Absolut Vodka martini-pairing dinner ($65)

· Johannes Restaurant: Austrian wines and Euro-Austrian cuisine ($85)

· Las Casuelas Terraza: Four-course tequila-pairing dinner ($45)

· Matchbox Vintage Pizza Bistro: Five-course beer-pairing menu ($45)

· Miro’s Restaurant: Old-world cuisine paired with California wines ($65)

· Rio Azul Mexican Bar & Grill: Family recipes paired with tequilas ($45)

· Spencer’s Restaurant: Four-course dinner paired with (BELVEDERE) RED Special Edition, which contributes proceeds to the Global Fund to fight HIV/AIDS ($65)

· Zin American Bistro: Pairing dinner featuring biodynamic winery Justin Vineyards ($85)

· Babe’s Bar-B-Que Grill & Brewhouse: Four courses paired with Babe’s microbrews, a fifth course served with a cigar and rare European ale ($65)
