Sandy Hook and All Young Victims To Be Honored Tonight

Everyone is welcomed to participate in St. Margaret's Episcopal Church's Holy Innocents Day scheduled for tonight.

In honor of the children killed at Sandy Hook Elementary in Connecticut and in memory of the thousands of innocents killed around the globe, St. Margaret’s Episcopal Church will host a Holy Innocents Day from 5 to 7 tonight.

Participants are invited to bring a small stuffed animal, light a candle and join in prayer, music and reflection.

“As our hearts and minds struggle to comprehend the tragedy of young lives cut short, Holy Innocents Day offers an opportunity for grace, hope, and inspiration for the days ahead,” organizers wrote in a news release.

According to organizers, shortly after the tragedy, Episcopal Presiding Bishop Katharine Jefferts Schori said the incident offered an opportunity “to awaken us to the unnoticed number of children and young people who die senselessly across this land every day” and challenges us “to work toward a different future.”

St. Margaret’s is at 47-535 State Highway 74 in Palm Desert. For information call (760) 346-3513.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
