It is expected to create the strongest winds on mountain ridge tops, desert slopes and portions of the adjacent desert areas. Westerly winds of 25-35 mph are expected, with gusts up to 55-60 mph.

The winds will diminish early Wednesday morning, about 3 a.m., after the frontal passage.
