Two Egg Hunts Set For Palm Desert

Westfield Palm Desert is expecting a large turnout.

Thousands of eggs will be hidden throughout the first floor of Saturday.

“We have over 3,000 candy and toy filled eggs that will be hidden,’’ said Jenna LeMaster, marketing director for the mall, adding that this is the mall’s first egg hunt.

There will be a golden egg that can be turned in to the concierge booth for a $250 gift card, LeMaster said.

Other eggs can be redeemed for gift certificates to Coffee Bean, Hot Dog on a Stick and Jamba Juice, according to LeMaster.

The lower level will be split up for three age groups – ages 2-4, 5-8 and 9-12, she said.

The hunt will begin at 10 a.m. and run through noon.

“The recommend the earlier the better,’’ LeMaster said.

Another egg hunt is set for 8:45 a.m. to noon Saturday at Civic Center Park in Palm Desert.

The hunt is put on yearly by Family YMCA of the Desert.
