A felony settlement conference for Dyrenell Robinson and Roman Tausaga has been scheduled for October 5 in Indio.
On Friday, attorneys on both sides were granted a continuance by Riverside Superior Court Judge Victoria Cameron, after stating that the case is close to being resolved, according to court records.
Tausaga, 22, remains jailed in Indio on $1 million bail. He is charged with robbery and burglary, both with the additional count of using a firearm.
Robinson, 20, also remains in jail with bail set at $500,000. He is charged with one count each of burglary and robbery.
The two are charged in a home invasion in Palm Desert on February 23, that left Frank Tanuvasa, 20, fatally wounded following a struggle with a Sheriff’s Department deputy.
