Veterans Day Jazz Concert Set At Pete Carlson's

Pete Carlson is a longtime local jazz enthusiast and host of a jazz radio show on KJJZ-FM (102.3).

A group of “seasoned jazz veterans” will perform on the back patio of in Palm Desert on Friday, Nov. 11.

The concert is set for 6 p.m. at 73741 Highway 111 in Palm Desert, according to event spokeswoman Sheila Kiner.

Pete Carlson, a longtime local jazz enthusiast and host of a jazz radio show on KJJZ-FM (102.3), said he is pleased to host the Mirage 10-Piece Jazz Band’s free concert benefiting the Veterans of Foreign War.

“We want to share good music with the community and support our veterans on Veteran’s Day,” Carlson said.   

The Mirage 10-Piece Jazz Band has a wide repertoire that includes jazz standards, big band hits, smooth jazz, swing, ballads, contemporary jazz and Latin salsa.
