What Would You Improve in Palm Desert in 2013?

If you could make a New Year's resolution for Palm Desert, what would it be?

More than 45 percent of Americans make a resolution every year, according to statisticbrain.com. Some people vow to live a healthier lifestyle, others promise to spend more time with family, and many say they will try to save money.

As millions of Americans make resolutions to improve their lives, what could we do right here in Palm Desert to make it an even better place to live?

What is on your wish list? What is one thing you would improve in 2013?

Undergrounding the utilities is paramount in 2013. I know it will take longer than 2013, but let's start the project!

Gee, I didn't know there was a nine-year-old promise to underground all those ugly edison and cable lines and whatever else is hanging from hundreds of old scrubby poles lining the backyards and streets of our lovely Panorama area of Palm Desert. Thirty-two years ago when we bought our newly constructed home -- believe it or not -- the builders were required to "underground" the utilities and we were assured that the poles would be coming down !!! Well, this is 32 years later and somewhere along the line EVERYONE forgot about it except the homeowners. My next vote for City Council will be to the ones who run on a solid "true-blue cross-my-heart I hope to lose if I don't work to underground all those ugly poles -- starting with Panorama."

The infrastructure in Palm Desert Must be addressed, I had a natural gas leak from the street that got us sick, it was there for years! No smell, and that toxic explosive only blows up between 13-17 saturation. Palm Desert is a ready to blow, like North CA. I finally left when the transformer from the electrical wires leaked on to my property too. I moved to FL. that is where CA. congresswoman Mary Bono-Mack lived!
