Dates Announced For Dance Under The Stars Choreography Festival
The festival highlights dance as an art form and showcases work by emerging and established choreographers.
The Dance Under the Stars Choreography Festival will take place Saturday, Nov. 12-13 at the in Palm Desert, organizers announced this week.
The festival – now in its 14th year – features dance by emerging and established choreographers.
Finalists were selected from more than 100 submissions from across the United States. They will compete for $26,000 in cash award and a paid engagement at the McCallum Theatre.

Past festival winners included Jon Lehrer, Lehrerdance; Olivier Wevers, Whim W’Him; Garret Ammon, Ballet Memphis; Laura Gorenstein Miller, Helios Dance Theater and Jamel Gaines, Creative Outlet Dance Theatre of Brooklyn.
Tickets for the Division I performance at 7 p.m. on Saturay, Nov. 12 range between $30/25/20/15. Tickets for the Division II performance at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 13 are $25/20/15/10.
