In 1991, the City installed its first piece of public art in Civic Center Park through Palm Desert's newly created "Art in Public Places program." Artist Michael Anderson created "Desert Dessert," a sculpture that included a time capsule.
The time capsule holds items contributed by community members 20 years ago. Join City officials and individuals who contributed items as they open up the time capsule and reveal its exciting contents. Light refreshments will be served.
