Art Under the Umbrellas in La Quinta

La Quinta Arts Foundation (LQAF) will launch its 30th Anniversary Season with the return of Art Under the Umbrellas Saturday, October 29, 2011 from 10 am to 4 pm, set along the streets and lawn of charming Old Town La Quinta.

Live music by Steve Madaio & Friends will entertain art patrons throughout the day as they stroll the art-lined streets, and visit the many boutique shops and restaurants offered by Old Town La Quinta. Admission and parking is free.

The seventh season opener will host a total of 77 artists presenting newly created works in painting, glass, ceramic, jewelry, wood, sculpture, photography, fiber, and mixed media, including seventeen new artists selected to be introduced to patrons this season.

October 29th is the first of eight events planned in 2011/12 and the series continues on select Saturdays: November 26, and December 3, 2011; January 14, February 11 & 18, March 24, and March 31, 2012.
