Jazz Concert Featuring John Bolivar Quartet @ Pete Carlson’s Golf & Tennis

On Thursday, December 29th at 7pm, enjoy an evening of jazz as Pete Carlson’s Golf & Tennis turns into a jazz club when the John Bolivar Quartet performing.  The concert is a recent add-on to the popular Jazz For Jazz Lovers series sponsored by Pete Carlson’s Golf and Tennis in coordination with the American Jazz Institute.

The concert begins at 7pm at Pete Carlson’s Golf and Tennis located at 73-741 Highway 111 in Palm Desert.  Admission is $15 for adults; students are free.  All seating is general admission. All admissions benefit the American Jazz Institute’s Desert Cities Jazz Programs, which foster the careers of young area jazz musicians and the President Gerald R. Ford Boys & Girls Club of La Quinta.

Bolivar, equally accomplished on saxophone, flute and clarinet, has performed with the top names in jazz, blues, and pop music, including Aretha Franklin, B.B. King, Little Anthony and the Imperials, Chuck Mangione, Joe Turner, Herb Alpert, Chaka Kahn, Lalo Shiffren, Jimmy Smith, and the Billy Mitchell Band, among many others. Jazz Festival performances include; the Playboy, Sedona, Palm Springs, Heinekin, and Monterey Jazz Festivals.
