Festival of Opera and Art Again Slated for Palm Desert Civic Center Park

The free event is planned for Sunday, April 14, according to organizers.

An afternoon of music, art and entertainment will be featured during the 4th annual Festival of Opera and Art at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park.

The event, which is free to the public, is being put on by OperaArts, a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing quality music to the Coachella Valley. The festival is scheduled for Sunday, April 14.

Among the slated highlights of the festival is "Vive Verdi," which would feature the arias, duets and ensembles from the Italian composer's operatic works Aida, Macbeth, Rigoletto and Il Trovatore. The tribute is being organized in celebration of the Giuseppe Verdi's 200th birthday.

According to the event website:

Gale Enger will play from 12:30-1:50 for your listening pleasure.  

Opera show begins at 2:00 p.m.  

There will be a 20 minute intermission and the event will end at 4:30.

Featruing arias, duets and ensembles from Giuseppe Verdi's opera's, celebrating the composers 200th birthday (including Aida, Rigoletto, Macbeth, and ll Trovatore).

Many artists will be displaying their works and will engage in interactive art with those in attendance.  

Many children's activities will be available.  

There will be two vendors for food and non-alcoholic drinks.  

This event is FREE to the public.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
