Jazz Lovers Rejoice! Will Donato Added to Desert Lexus Jazz Lineup

The event will be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday, May 3.

Desert Lexus Jazz presented by the City of Indian Wells, a premier concert event in the Coachella Valley for the past 15 years, has added award-winning composer and dynamic performer Will Donato to its lineup, which also features acclaimed saxophonists Dave Koz, Mindi Abair, Gerald Albright, Richard Elliot, and Euge Groove who will be accompanied by special guest and American Idol sensation Elliott Yamin. The event will be held at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden on Saturday, May 3.

 

Donato’s fifth studio album, “Universal Groove,” is set for release this year, and his hit single, “Grand Slam” is currently on the Billboard Chart Top 30. He will be the opening act for Desert Lexus Jazz.

In addition, artist MARCEL MAJID will paint portraits of the evening festivities, with artwork of Donato, and Groove and Yamin being auctioned between sets. Palm Desert saxophonist Chase Huna will also be on site, playing throughout the Tennis Garden as guests arrive.

The event will start at 5:00 p.m. and take place under the Indian Wells Tennis Garden’s Shade Pavilion, which will offer seating for 2,000 patrons. In addition to music, the evening will also feature an assortment of food, wine and art. Reserved and VIP seating will be available.

 

Participating sponsors include, Desert Arc, Avis Lending, The Gardens on El Paseo, CBS/KPSP TV 2, and 102.3 KJAZZ. The event will be produced by the Indian Wells Tennis Garden and Wendy Jayne Productions, Inc.
