La Quinta Arts Foundation Set For Fall Art Event

The show is set to run for the weekends of Nov. 10 and the Thanksgiving four-day weekend, Nov. 22-24.

La Quinta Arts Foundation is gearing for its fall show "Art Under the Umbrellas," set for the weekends of Nov. 10 and the Thanksgiving four-day weekend, Nov. 22-24.

The event will feature 80 artists exhibiting their original works in a variety of materials, including jewelry, glass, wood, fiber and ceramic.

The show runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with free admission and free parking, organizers said.

The Steve Madaio Band will entertain art patrons through the day while they peruse the art lining the streets of Old Town La Quinta.

Patrons are encouraged to visit the boutiques and restaurants in the area.

These shows are the second and third of nine Art Under the Umbrellas events planned this season. The series continues on select Saturdays: Dec. 1,; Jan. 12 and 19; Feb. 9 and 16; March 23.

Old Town La Quinta is in the Village of La Quinta, on Santa Rosa Plaza Road.

La Quinta Arts Foundation  is now in its 31st season of service to the Coachella Valley    through its non-profit mission of “Promoting and Cultivating the Arts”.  LQAF has awarded over $1 million in visual arts college scholarships.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
