The Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert will start a series of free screenings of episodes of "The Ray Bradbury Theater" tonight.

The first screening, "A Sound of Thunder," is at 5 p.m. The screenings are scheduled for Thursdays through Sept. 26 and are in conjunction with the exhibit "Across Dimensions: Graphics and Sculpture from the Permanent Collection," which opened Saturday.

"Just as the artists in the gallery investigate concepts in two- dimensional and three dimensional artworks, beloved science-fiction author Ray Bradbury seized an opportunity to adapt some of his short stories to the small screen exploring new dimensions of storytelling," according to the museum.
