Rancho Library to Feature Movie Short Screenings by Local Director

The screenings will include 22 short films directed by Rancho Mirage filmmaker Joel Hochberg.

The Rancho Mirage Public Library will host a free screening tonight of 22 short films directed by Rancho Mirage filmmaker Joel Hochberg.

Many of the documentaries that will be shown at the 7 p.m. screening haven't been viewed before, library spokeswoman Susan Cook said.

"Ranging in length from 38 seconds to six minutes, these films will pique your interests, stir your senses and expand your horizons," Cooks said.

Hochberg's subjects have included an artist building a mountain at the Salton Sea, a bulldog who's "84 years old" and a blind woman. He worked in advertising for more than 30 years and served as president of theatrical marketing for 20th Century Fox in Los Angeles, according to his website.

Seating for the screening is first come, first served.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
