Treat Your Children to Breakfast with Santa at Discovery Museum

A Palm Desert dance team is slated to provide part of the entertainment at the event on December 8, organizers said.

The following information was submitted by the Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert:

It’s beginning to feel a lot like Christmas at the Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert, and in honor of the holiday season, CDMOD will host their annual Christmas event, Breakfast with Santa on Saturday, December 8. There will be two sittings, 9 and 10:30 am.

The event will include a Carl’s Jr. sponsored breakfast in a holiday-inspired setting, as well as a personal visit with the one and only Old St. Nick at the Museum!

Each child who visits Santa will have their picture taken and receive a special holiday gift bag. Mrs. Claus and Santa's little helpers will also be on hand that day for all the festivities. In addition, there will be special entertainment from Dance Dimensions in Palm Desert and arts & crafts activities for children.

Breakfast with Santa has been celebrated at the Museum for more than 10 years and has become an event that many families in our community come out to support. Tickets for the event are available in the Museum Gift Store and the cost is $6 per child, up to age 12, and $12 per adult.

“I look forward to visiting the children at the Children’sDiscovery Museum of the Desert every year at this event,” said Santa Claus. “It’s always a wonderful time that’s full of Christmas glee and delicious food.”

"Chanukah Wonderland" will be held on Tuesday, December 11th at 2:45 p.m.

For more information on this program please contact Kim Hatten, Galley Experience Manager: 760-321-0602, ext.104 or emailkhatten@cdmod.org.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Dorothy you actually believe criminals can't get guns without a background check. Wow are youRead More naive. Just because YOU don't understand why some people want a particular weapon...does not mean you can impose your ownership standards on someone else. Suppose I suggest you don't need the particular car you drive or the particlar beverage you drink? I see you are opposed to hunting. How do you feel about abortion? Typical liberal double standard at play here??

Totally agree. This is just the beginning of a gun grab. All it will accomplish is furtherRead More restrictions on law abiding citizens. Chicago is a perfect example. Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
