Car Show Comes to COD Street Fair

Some of the best vehicles in the desert on display Sunday

College of the Desert's Automotive Technology Club will host a car show at Sunday's Street Fair, and people are encouraged to enter their vehicles, a college spokeswoman said today.

The show is 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and free to attend. Local car clubs and
people who own hot rods, classic, low-rider or custom vehicles or a motorcycle
can enter for a $10 fee per vehicle.

Trophies will be presented at 1:30 p.m., according to COD spokeswoman
Pam Hunter.

Proceeds will benefit the Automotive Technology Club.

The COD Alumni Association's Street Fair is open to the public every
Saturday and Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon at the northwest corner of the campus, north of Fred Waring Drive on Monterey Avenue.

@B.K.-- Thank you for your help with the community :) I have a great respect for all teachers!

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.
