The annual Relay for Life gets underway Saturday morning at Palm Desert High, with hundreds of walkers and teams beginning their walk at Aztec Stadium.
Cancer survivors will be honored with the Survivors Lap of Hope as the event begins.
The event will feature team of walkers taking to the stadium track in shifts over 24 hours, ending at 9:00 a.m. Sunday.
The Palm Desert Relay for Life is one of six taking place in the Coachella Valley this weekend.
