The City of Palm Desert is hosting a electronic waste recycling day, this Saturday, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Palm Desert Civic Center.
City Spokesman David Hermann says items that have a plug or a circuit board can be disposed of safely, and for free, during the event.
Items that can be disposed of at the event include:
- Televisions
- Microwave ovens
- Computers
- Toasters
- Irons
- Radios
- Phones
- Vacuum Cleaners
Large appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, washing machines and dryers will not be accepted. Businesses with more than 15 e-waste items must phone 760-346-0611 ext. 416 for an appointment.
