TRAFFIC ALERT: Interstate 10 at Date Palm Drive

Drivers are being advised to avoid Interstate 10 at Date Palm for the next two nights, as major road work is taking place, according to the CHP.

CHP Sgt. Joe Zagorksi tells Patch that eastbound lanes will be affected from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m, with up to three lanes closed.  

Westbound lanes will be affected from 9:00 p.m. Thursday until 5:00 a.m. Friday.

Sgt. Zagorski says at least one lane will be open at all times, but drivers should avoid the area if possible, or expect delays.
