Apple Fest Hits Jensen's

A taste of fall is now available at participating stores.

The weather may still be around the century mark, but Coachella Valley residents can still get a taste of fall starting today at Jensen's Finest Foods Apple Fest, which runs through Oct. 10.

Jensen's Finest Foods, which has locations in Palm Springs and Palm Desert, is offering pies, fritters and apple burritos in the bakery, as well as hand-dipped caramel apples, apple-based liqueurs and recipes in the liquor department, and recipes and dishes in the meat and deli departments, according to festival spokeswoman Sheila Grattan.

"Jensen's is using the same Wenatchee, Wash., apples to prepare its baked goods and other Jensen's own dishes that are offered during Apple Fest in the produce department,'' Grattan said.
