COD Looking for Businesses, Organizations to Take Part in Annual Career Fair

The College of the Desert is looking for local employers to participate in an upcoming career fair at the school.

The event, scheduled for March 13 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., is free for employers to register, and includes breakfast and lunch for up to two representatives, according to COD representatives.

“Our past fairs have been very well attended and we continue to have our regular participants—many are hiring, and others welcome the exposure for their business or organization,” stated Christine Schaefer, COD Counselor/Coordinator Career Center.

Schaefer said the college is looking for new businesses and organizations to take part-- even if they aren't currently hiring.

"Even if you are not hiring at this time, it is great exposure for your business and a great recruiting tool to prepare for the fall hiring season," she said.  "In addition, your product or service might inspire our students as they research career choices.”
