Daily Grill Offers Great American Classics

The Daily Grill never fails to satisfy the itch for classics like meat loaf and mashed potatoes.

It's not pretentious. It doesn't follow trends. It will never confuse you and it remains the same year after year just like a comfortable old friend.

is the place where I go when I want something I know will fill me up, taste right, and be just like the meals my mother made.

The dining room is dimly lit and cozy like being in a wealthy grandmother’s house.

It’s always bustling with people and conversation -- so it isn’t a place you want to go for a romantic date, but with friends and family.

Some of my tried and true favorites:

  • The chicken caesar salad is enormous and you can get Cajun chicken as an option for spice.
  • Try a hamburger without the bun and blue cheese crumbles on top.
  • One of my favorite comfort foods here is the meatloaf studded with tangy mushrooms and a tomato glace.
  • The creamed spinach side goes with anything.
  • The grilled vegetable plate for weight conscious people is filled with a variety of veggies and fills you up fast.
  • The wraps are huge and hearty for lunchtime.
  • The fried calamari is a popular appetizer.
  • The pepper burger with Angus beef is addictive.
  • The braised short rib is a special delight.

Specials also come up every once in a while. When you see the roasted chicken appear, get it. It’s moist and fall off the bone delicious.

There’s also a full bar that you will see regulars at every night fresh from the golf course and the high-end country clubs up Highway 74. They know how to do the classic cocktails like highballs and Manhattans.

On Sundays, they offer a brunch that boasts great eggs benedict, New York steak and eggs, Texas French toast and omelets. It even comes with a mimosa.
