IMG to Manage Kraft Nabisco Tourney

The first major in women's golf will be run by a global management group

IMG has been tapped to take over management and operations of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, starting with the 2013 tournament.

The Kraft Nabisco Championship is the first major tournament on the LPGA schedule, and takes place at Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage.  IMG has already began work on plans for next year’s Championship.

“IMG’s long history of success in golf, including its passion for women’s golf, makes it the ideal company to manage such an important tournament,” said David Blake-Thomas, Executive Director and Chairman, Kraft Nabisco Championship. “The Kraft Nabisco Championship is not just golf’s first major of the year, it is a tradition that has produced some of the most memorable moments in women’s golf. We look forward to continuing that great history with IMG as a partner.”

With the addition of the Kraft Nabisco Championship, IMG now manages two of the four majors in women’s golf each year. IMG also stages the Ricoh Women’s British Open. That event gained Major status in 2001.

“IMG is honored to be given the opportunity to manage the Kraft Nabisco Championship and plans to work with Kraft Foods to maintain much of what has made the tournament successful for so long, including key personnel and the long-time host site at Mission Hills Country Club,” said W. David Livingston, Senior Vice President and Director of North American Sales for IMG Golf. “The Kraft Nabisco Championship is always considered one of the strongest fields in women’s golf, and coupled with IMG’s experience managing more than 40 tournaments around the globe each year, we look forward to working with Kraft Foods and the other Championship partners to make this world-class championship even more successful.”

The 2013 tournament is scheduled for April 4th through 7th.  More information on the tournament is available by clicking here.

You';re welcome, Renee but I don't really expect thanks for my contributions to the classroom. IRead More wasn't going to stand by and see kids not have the basic things they needed to get through the class and most teachers are of the same mind :) Sadly, school budgets have never covered all the needs in classrooms.

Dorothy you actually believe criminals can't get guns without a background check. Wow are youRead More naive. Just because YOU don't understand why some people want a particular weapon...does not mean you can impose your ownership standards on someone else. Suppose I suggest you don't need the particular car you drive or the particlar beverage you drink? I see you are opposed to hunting. How do you feel about abortion? Typical liberal double standard at play here??

Totally agree. This is just the beginning of a gun grab. All it will accomplish is furtherRead More restrictions on law abiding citizens. Chicago is a perfect example. Strictest gun control in the nation and highest gun crime and murder rate. Criminals do not comply with the law. Only legal citizens will lose their rights to own the weapon of their choice. Liberals are all about choice when it comes to killing an unborn, but when it comes to a lawful gunowner's choice it's a different story altogether.
