Joseph A. Bank, Thai Smile Coming to Palm Desert

The men's clothing store and popular Valley eatery are both lined up to open in the city of Palm Desert, city officials said.

Two new businesses are coming to Palm Desert– a men's clothing store, and a thai food restaurant, according to city officials.

According to City Manager John Wohlmuth's latest city council newsletter released Monday, Jos. A. Bank– a men’s clothing retailer with over 600 stores nationwide– announced a new location at 73-300 El Paseo.  That about a quarter mile west of San Pablo Ave.

"This will be the first location for the company in the Coachella Valley," Wohlmuth said, adding that it's not yet clear with the shop will be open for business.

In addition to the clothing store, Thai Smile is coming to town.

The restaurant, which has locations in Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage already, will open up in the Desert Crossing shopping center, next to La Bella Cucina, according to Wohlmuth.  It's set to open sometime next season.
