New Palm Desert Walmart Neighborhood Market Hiring 65 People

Walmart will hire approximately 65 associates to work at the new Walmart Neighborhood Market slated to open this fall in Palm Desert. The store will be located near the intersection of Fred Waring Drive and Highway 111, and a temporary hiring center has opened at 72559 Highway 111.

Applications will be accepted from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Interested applicants may also apply online at http://careers.walmart.com. 

According to store manager Richard Beserra, the store will be hiring both full- and part-time associates. Beserra brings more than 12 years of grocery management experience to the store, most recently working at Walmart in La Quinta. Before beginning his career with Walmart in 2002, he was a store manager for a supermarket chain store in Los Angeles.

“Walmart has given me so many great opportunities, I look forward to hiring 65 new associates and affording them the same career opportunities,” said Beserra. “I’m looking to hire people who are customer-service oriented and will help us provide a great shopping experience for our Palm Desert customers.”

The majority of the new store associates will begin work in October to help prepare the store for its grand opening.
