New Wine Superstore Opening in Palm Desert

One of Palm Desert's newest businesses will officially open next week, and the public is invited to a free wine tasting event to kick it off.

Total Wine & More will open at 72339 Highway 111, at Fred Waring Drive, in the shopping center near Best Buy.

"As America’s largest independent retailer of fine wine, beer and spirits, the new Total Wine & More store in Palm Desert will offer more than 8,000 wines, 3,000 spirits and 2,500 beers, including hard-to-find labels and locally produced product," store promoters told Palm Desert Patch in an announcement.

The wine shop will host a grand opening party on Thursday, June 13, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Organizers say there will be complimentary tastings, live music, and giveaways "...well as a first look at this all-new superstore."

The business also plans on presenting the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center with a $10,000 donation at the event.
