Novelist Jackie Collins to be in Coachella Valley for Book-Signing Event

Best-selling author Jackie Collins will sign copies of her latest novel at a Palm Springs store next month, it was announced Wednesday.

Stephen Monkarsh, owner of Just Fabulous on North Palm Canyon Drive, will host a reception and book signing for Collins' newest novel, "The Power Trip," on Nov. 16.

Collins, a New York Times best-selling novelist, will be in town for the AIDS Assistance Program's "Hollywood Dine & Dish" benefit with comedian Bruce Vilanch and celebrity photographer Michael Childers, Monkarsh said.

"The Power Trip," published this year, is Collins' 29th novel, and is a thriller set on a yacht off the coast of Mexico's Cabo San Lucas.

Collins will speak in Rancho Mirage in January as part of the city's speaker series.
