President’s Circle recipients published the voting records of local state legislators on business issues, advocated issues of members’ interest to state elected officials and brought a delegation to Sacramento for the summit.

The Palm Desert Area Chamber of Commerce has a legislative committee that meets the third Monday of each month at 3:30 p.m., deBoom said, adding that it is open to chamber members.

Representatives from the offices of Rep. Mary Bono Mack, R-Palm Springs, California Sen. Bill Emerson, R-Hemet, and Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert regularly attend the meetings to provide updates on legislation, she said.
