Solar Energy Company Honored As Business Of The Year

Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert, will present the award at a 10 a.m. ceremony Tuesday, June 7.

Renova Energy Corp. was honored today as the 2011 Small Business of the Year for the 64th Assembly District.

The business, which is committed to growth in the solar energy industry, specializes in solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, energy efficiency products; variable speed pool pumps, Sola-Tube, solar powered attic ventilators, LED lighting and window tinting.

Assemblyman Brian Nestande, R-Palm Desert, chose Renova for its commitment to sustainable solar energy growth.

"I am inspired by Renova's contributions to sustainable growth and innovative solutions to meet our energy challenges. The unique services they provide have helped their customers achieve greater energy use and efficiency," Nestande said.

Renova Energy Corp. seeks to make projects as energy efficient as possible, according to CEO Vincent Battaglia.

The award will be formally presented at 10 a.m. June 7 at the GreenZone at 75181 Mediterranean Ave.
