Whole Foods Will Bring 150 Jobs to Palm Desert

The store will add to the local employment roster when it opens in 2014.

Whole Foods has revealed details of its planned move into Palm Desert in 2014.

The new 30,000 square foot store in the One Eleven Town Center is expected to create 150 new jobs.  Whole Foods Market has been ranked for the past 15 consecutive years as Fortune's "100 Best Companies to Work For."

"We are so excited to be opening in Palm Desert," said Patrick Bradley, president, Whole Foods Market Southern Pacific Region. "We've been looking in the area for quite some time and feel like we've found the perfect location. It's nice to be able to fulfill the many location requests we've had for the desert over the past 7 or 8 years. We are thrilled to bring natural and organic food to this community."   The closest Whole Foods Location currently is in Pasadena.

“For years, people across the Coachella Valley have been hoping that Whole Foods would open a location here. We are very happy that they have chosen Palm Desert,” said Palm Desert Mayor Bob Spiegel. “Whole Foods is a perfect fit for Palm Desert’s quality-minded, environmentally conscious, and healthy lifestyle.”

With 329 stores, Whole Foods Market is on track to open a total of 25 stores during this fiscal year. In addition to the lease signed for the Palm Desert location, the company made agreements for an additional 11 locations across the U.S which are scheduled to open in fiscal year 2014 and beyond.

I LOVE WholeFoods Market and would love to work for you. I have done all my shopping there for years. In New York and Nevada. I have told everyone how terrific a store it is how different and better than all the others. The way it's set up and the freshness and the quality. WholeFoods displays the best in retail food marketing! Thank you so much for moving to the Coachella Valley. My name is Tina Diamond and I would LOVE to work for you when you open here. Please email me with any or all work available positions. Thank you, Tina. Fame9122@yahoo.com
