Sponsor & Exhibitor Opportunities Open for Walk to End Alzheimer's

Major sponsorship and exhibitor opportunities are now available to support the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer's 2014, which is Saturday morning, March 1, at the Palm Desert Civic Center Park.

According to Sponsorship Committee chair Dom Calvano, owner of Custom Care Solutions, “The Walk to End Alzheimer's offers great visibility to our sponsors. Participating as an exhibitor at the Walk provides an outstanding face-to-face opportunity to reach more than 1,000 walkers, family members and volunteers.  It’s an ideal way for business and community partners to affiliate with a worthy cause.”

“By signing on now, our major sponsor levels - from Bronze at $1,500 to Gold at $5,000 -- can still take full advantage of all the benefits and visibility.  This includes having their logo on thousands of Walk brochures, which are direct-mailed to all prior registrants and distributed at key locations throughout the Coachella Valley from late January until the March 1 event."

"Also, depending on the sponsorship level, a company logo is prominently featured on our 500 plus T-shirts, as well as in print advertising, on our website and in email blasts, in addition to other participation and exposure opportunities. Deadline for the 10,000 brochure printing is quickly approaching, so we want to give sponsors every opportunity," Calvano added.

Major sponsors to date include Family Hospice Care, Atria Senior Living, Vista Cove, The Desert Sun, Uno de 50, and Eisenhower Medical Center.

Registration for the two mile walk opens at 9 a.m.  Opening ceremonies start at 10 a.m. and the walk gets underway at 10:30 a.m. on a clearly marked course throughout the park, returning to the amphitheatre where food, festivities and awards take place.

Individual, family and friend, and corporate teams are encouraged to sign up now online and start fundraising for Walk to End Alzheimer’s.  The website is www.alz.org/socal.

"Funds raised at the Walk provide much needed care and support for people touched by the disease in the Coachella Valley, educate the public about Alzheimer’s as a growing health threat, and fund research to fight Alzheimer's disease," says Susan Galeas, president and CEO of the Alzheimer's Association, California Southland Chapter.  "Alzheimer’s is growing at an alarming rate and affects not only those diagnosed, but countless spouses, children, parents, family members and friends.  We look forward to our 2104 Walk to End Alzheimer’s at Civic Center Park and encourage everyone to lead a team, join a team, or volunteer.”
