Claim Your Stake, at La Quinta Museums Newest Exhibit

The La Quinta Museum is one of my favorite attractions here in the beautiful Coachella Valley. I have always enjoyed checking out the exhibits at this cozy museum just a quick walk from Old Town La Quinta's shops and restaurants.

They have recently wrapped up their wildly successful "Jurassic Encounter" exhibit which stepped back to pre-historic times complete with animatronic dinosaurs, and will kick off their newest exhibit, "California Pioneers" with an exciting reception on Friday, September 9th, 2011 from 5pm to 7pm.

The exhibit will highlight the life and times of the "California Pioneers", as well as taking a look at Civil War soldiers and their experiences. The reception will have living history re-enactors to bring the era to life, as well as offering interactive activities inculding Morse code lessons, just in case you can't get cell phone service. 

And as an added bonus, the first 200 attendees to the reception will receive a complimentary bottle of gold flakes! The reception and exhibit are FREE and fun for the entire family...loads more fun then watching TV or playing those pesky video games.
