UPDATE: Crash Damages Traffic Signal In Palm Desert
The signal was expected to remain in flash mode through Friday.

A Palm Desert traffic signal at Fred Waring Drive and Cook Street will remain in "flash mode" until Friday because of a traffic accident, a city official said.
The crash damaged the signal cabinet Wednesday afternoon, according to city spokesman David Hermann.

The signal was initially expected to be fixed by Thursday, but that was pushed to Friday when workers are expected to replace the signal cabinet, Hermann said.
