Forecast of 110 Degrees in Palm Desert This Weekend

Warmer than usual temperatures are expected in Riverside County this weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, temperatures will be 5 to 15 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year, with Saturday being the hottest day.

Highs on Saturday are expected to range from 93 to 103 degrees in the valleys, 78 to 90 in the mountains, 106 to 111 in the lower deserts and 92 to 100 in the high deserts.

As for Palm Desert-- we can expect the temperature to get up to 110 degrees on Saturday, according to the NWS.

"The heat may adversely affect those working or playing outdoors, the elderly, the young or the sick," an NWS advisory said.

The agency encouraged residents to avoid strenuous outdoor activity, if possible.

Here's the National Weather Service forecast for Palm Desert for the next few days:

  • Friday:  Sunny, with a high near 105. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
  • Friday night: Clear, with a low around 74. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming west in the evening.
  • Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 110. Light and variable wind becoming southeast 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.
  • Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 77. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming west in the evening.
  • Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 108. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southeast in the morning.
  • Sunday Night: Clear, with a low around 72.
  • Monday: Sunny, with a high near 104.
