Why Go: Cool off and relax at Knott's Soak City Dive-In Movie night. The movie selection for the evening, voted for by movie-goers, will be "Spiderman 3."

Why Go: This mixer hosted by Kimberly Nichols and Scott Hines was designed as an affordable benefit for those who want to help Desert AIDS Project, but can't always shell out for the black tie galas. For just $45, guests can enjoy unlimited gourmet hors d'oevres and cocktails and dance the night away at the Ace Hotel while helping a sincerely great cause. The "Time Warp" theme means that costumes are strongly encouraged. Swimsuits too.

Why Go: 0n July 24, 2010 thousands of people from all over the world uploaded their own footage to YouTube in order to help document a single day on our planet. Oscar-winning director Kevin MacDonald pieced it all together into a 90-minute masterpiece.
The Palme D'or will show the movie for one night only, on the one year anniversary of the day when all the videos were captured.
